Professional Development
Professional Development is a life-long endeavor to further cultivate my practice as a teacher.
Within the University of Calgary Professional Development course I became inspired through my Community of Practice to learn from each individual member. It was invaluable to gain the insights, knowledge, and experience from each member. I am thrilled to embark on my career and continue to share and learn from my peers in my community of practice.
We not only blogged our experience but also our inspirations and found the use of technology to be a beneficial aspect to continuously stay in touch and work as a community.
The metaphor our Community of Practice likened ourselves to was that of a choir. We saw each member adding to the sucess of the group as a whole.
I enjoy attending conferences and this Feb 2014 I presented at the WestCast Education Conference.
